NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Uday Kumar, a senior General Manager at Power Grid Corporation of India, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh from an executive of KEC International, news agency PTI reported on Friday.
Kumar, stationed in Ajmer, Rajasthan, was arrested on Thursday along with Suman Singh of KEC International in Sikar, where they had allegedly planned to exchange the bribe, officials said.
The FIR names five individuals and KEC International as accused, they added.
Among those listed in the CBI FIR is KEC International’s vice-president and North India head, Jabraj Singh.
The company has not issued an immediate response.
